If you are researching to learn the basics, you will find existing online published articles are confusing, since every term even remotely similar to the word method is used interchangeably even though the specific meanings differ. Terms used to describe the above list included tactics, examples, techniques, ways, systems, strategies, practices…and more.
In my experience when setting up a good business marketing plan, it’s best to be crystal clear on word definitions, and particularly distinguish between the words strategy and method. Choosing the correct term helps to organize your thoughts. For example: A strategy is used to achieve a goal, using methods chosen from the above list.
