How To Use Click Bank To Start An Online Business

February 17th, 2010

If you enjoy surfing the web and have been considering setting up your own business, you really should visit http://www.clickbank.com/. It is a site that allows you to sign up as an affiliate internet marketer, promote ready to deliver information products, and then receive a commission for every sale made via links from your own website promotions.

Without a doubt, selling someone else’s product, using their supplied sales pages and the Clickbank links is one of the quickest ways for you to become an online seller without having to do all the back end work of billing, collection and commission payment.

It is also a website that you can literally spend day after day reading the sales pitches and visiting the sites of the offered products. If you do this diligently you will eventually get used to the methodology used to create these offers. What you learn can then be used to market your own products. This is the real benefit of membership. I call it Clickbank College. More information follows below……

Signing up on Clickbank is easy. Go to the url address listed above and click on the AFFILIATES radio button on the landing page. After doing some reading and educating yourself about the benefits of Affiliate Marketing, take action…sign up! Then start your free internet marketing education and have some fun doing so.

You’ll notice some rankings called “gravity values” applied to each of the offers. This really means how successful the offer has been in the marketplace. If you sell a high gravity number, you’ll have more competition, but you’ll be selling a somewhat known or familiar product. If you promote a lower gravity value number, it may be a harder sell, but there will be less competition. This is an over simplification, but regardless of what gravity you choose, the successful sale will only happen based on how much interested traffic you drive to your site. Key is to promote and promote and promote.

The “Clickbank College” education part comes from reading the many sales pages and dissecting it into the marketing tools used to arrive at the result you are viewing and then following the links all the way through the sale process to see how everything is constructed to eventually make a sale.

Let me take you on a short walk through…(of course, you can tour without becoming a member)

At the Clickbank home page, visit the marketplace link at the top.

For this tour I chose the green products category, with the results sorted by popularity, high to low. The top item returned pays a 75% commission and clicking on the “red highlighted type” link you end up at the site http://www.magniwork.com/?hop=0.

Pay close attention to what you see and read, because there is great deal of magnificent work sitting in front of you. Lot’s of hours went into developing what you are reading. You’re on the landing page for the offer: this is the sales pitch page. It starts with a headline, the sales copy that follows is loaded with key words and colors designed to spur sales. It includes a video, and there are numerous testimonials to create credibility. It divulges secrets, it anticipates and handles objections, it gives you a risk free money back guarantee that may eliminate purchasers remorse. And best of all it delivers immediate gratification by providing a download link for receiving the product immediately upon payment. To make the transaction even more risk free, they offer PayPal as a payment method. Because of the way PayPal works, no one ever sees your credit card number making the sale even more secure.

Take Action:

Clickbank can be a first step towards making money online working from home by using Affiliate Marketing.

Top Five Steps To Internet Marketing Success In 2010

January 19th, 2010

My plan to maximize results in the New Year took a little longer than expected. But reflecting on last years activity, and reading all the gurus’ first of the year announcements made it worth the wait.

Now that I am done let me help you.

If your dream is to launch an internet site to market your business, or to improve the results from your current site, read on.

I’ve received some 1000 emails from the top internet marketers telling me/us what we have to do this year and the list varies as widely as the number of marketers. Buy this, buy that, must have this tool, can’t live without that tool.

It’s the basics that work and unless they are in place, Save Your Money!

I want to make it short and sweet and as direct as possible, so here goes:

1. Research and find a niche that sells well online, Clickbank selling other people’s products or selling your own, but become an expert.

2. Automate your sites, autoresponders, list captures, downloaders.

3. Use article marketing, blogs and forums full of useful content to establish your expertise. Learn how to use back links.

4. Promote yourself and your sites using social media, Twitter, You Tube Videos, Facebook, uStream, podcasts.

5. Narrow your focus, apply yourself, diligently follow a routine.

If you need help getting where you want to go, just drop James Bronersky an email. brnrsky@biztobizsite.com

I recommend reading anything done by Jason Fladlien. His information is almost biblical.

I highly recommend developing a membership site as part of your strategy using Jason’s extremely economical product. Let me know how it goes.

If you found this information helpful please leave comments, tell your friends where to find us, copy and send anything you want from this site.

How To Make Delicious Turkey Gravy From Scratch

November 23rd, 2009

Thanksgiving Turkey gravy with a smooth and even texture is often the most difficult to master. This tried and true recipe can be table ready in about 20 minutes and serves 10-12 people.
What you need:
– Large sized sauce pan (4-6 quart)
– Wide-mouth glass or plastic jar with tight fitting lid about 16 oz. size
– Wooden stir spoon and/or plastic spatula (scraper)
– 1 or 2 cup measuring cup
– Strainer (optional but helpful)
– Ingredients for gravy
– Poultry drippings from a 10-12 pound turkey
– 1/2 to 3/4 cup white flour
– Salt and pepper seasoning to taste
– Cold Water

To start…
Pour off the juices from the turkey into the sauce pan. Scrape all surfaces of the turkey roasting pan to get all flavoring including small pieces of meat that may be stuck to the roasting pan.

If a lower fat content gravy is desired, pour the drippings instead into several large glass measuring cups or bowls until the juices separate. (I speed this step up by placing the cups in the freezer on hot pads.) Then skim off the fat portion from the top using a spoon or ladle.

Tip:
If the work area on the stove is sufficient, juices can be left in the roasting pan and the pan placed over two burners for cooking the gravy. If the bottom of the pan has a large amount of dried juices, add hot water to the roasting pan to reconstitute the dried portions into juices, before pouring off into the sauce pan.
Set burner temperature to medium to bring the juices to a low boil.

Fill the glass or plastic jar about half full of cold water and place 2-3 tablespoons of flour in to the water. Close tightly and shake to thoroughly blend. Inspect the mixture, if lumpy, pour into the heated sauce pan through a strainer.

Stir the juices while boiling to thoroughly blend the flour/water mixture into the gravy. Repeat for thicker gravy. This step may be done 2-3 times depending on how much gravy is being thickened. Allow the gravy to cook while stirring as this is what creates the thickening.

Caution:After adding the flour/water thickener and cooking it into the juices, check thickness before adding more flour/water mixture. Putting in too much flour and water at once will make gravy too thick to serve. (You will know if it is too thick because it will have the consistency of a pudding not a gravy).

When thickened, reduce heat to medium low or simmer and stir to prevent sticking to the pan bottom. Cook for about 5 to 10 minutes adding salt and pepper to taste.

Remove from stove and pour into gravy bowls for serving.

GIBLET GRAVY
To make giblet gravy, I use the water from the simmering giblets as part of my gravy stock. I also prepare two kinds of gravy, one with giblets and one without depending on my guests preferences. I remove the giblets from the pan and let them cool to room temperature so I can handle them without getting burned. This can be done after they have simmered about 2 to 2-1/2 hours or so. You will know the giblets are cooked because the meat will fall off the neck bone and the liver will crumble when touched. I remove the neck meat and shred with a fork and add it to the gravy mix made without giblets. The remaining meat, (liver, heart, etc.) I coarsely chop in a blender and add to the gravy being prepared as giblet gravy. If you do not have a blender then just use a cutting board and a sharp knife to chop the meat.

Tips– Monitor the stove top temperature, and stir constantly to prevent burning the gravy. All the gravy should be brought to a boil to insure healthy eating and should be seasoned to the cooks taste before being served.

How To Make Home Made Stuffing For Turkey

November 23rd, 2009

How To Make Home Made Stuffing For Turkey

(turkey, dressing, stuffing)

If you have ever wanted to make a home made bread stuffing from scratch, here is a delicious 35 year old recipe easily prepared from common ingredients.

– 4 large cookie sheets or combination of flat pans
– 2 very large bowls about 12-14 inches in diameter
– 2 cup measuring cup
– Set of measuring spoons
– Bread knife, electric knife and /or chefs knife
– 2 loaves sliced sandwich bread
– 1/4 pound of butter or margarine
– 1 medium onion (chopped fine-1/4 inch pieces)
– 2 large stalks of celery (chopped fine-1/4 inch pieces)
– 2 cups warm water
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 tsp black or white pepper
– 1 Tbsp poultry seasoning OR
– Equivalent amount of parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
– 1 cup juices from poultry (chicken, turkey, game birds)
– 1 or 2- 13 by 9 by 2 inch pans
Day before…

Remove bread from wrappers and lay out individually on cookie sheets to allow to dry out and become stale. Using fresh bread and drying it out is one of the secrets to this recipe. (This step is most effective when started day before and left overnight to dry.) The bread only needs to dry until stale, not dry enough for it to crumble.
(Packaged bread stuffing can be used, however it becomes mushy when mixed with the moist ingredients.)

When dry, stack 5 to 6 slices at a time and slice into 1 inch squares.
(Using an electric knife helps speed up this step)

Using a very large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, chopped onion and celery, mixing well to evenly distribute the ingredients. Sprinkle all the seasoning evenly over the bread crumb mixture stirring to cover all bread mixture.
Using a small saucepan melt the butter, add the warm water and stir to combine. Pour the water mixture over the bread mixture. Stir with a spoon.
Transfer the mix into the 13 X 9 X 2 inch pan or pans. Compacting the dressing or lightly spreading it around the pans is the only difference whether it fits in one pan or two.
Cover the pan(s) with aluminum foil and baked for 45 minutes on the top rack of a 325 degree oven.
If bottom rack is used, place on cookie sheets to prevent overcooking the surfaces touching the bottom and sides.
After 45 minutes remove from oven, remove foil, and pour one cup of poultry juices over the surface for added flavoring.

Re-cover and return to oven for 20-25 minutes.
If poultry juices are not completely cooked, microwave or boil the juices to fully cook before pouring over the dressing.
After alloted cooking time, remove from oven and serve.
– Adding moisture to the poultry being cooked will insure there is enough extra meat juice for the dressing and still enough for gravy. This recipe will serve 10-12 people. Although it is amazingly flavorful and complementary to poultry, other ingredients such as apples. pecans, and mandarin oranges can be added to change the flavor when used with wild game.
Tip– When using meat juices from poultry insure they are completely cooked!

How To Make A Traditional Thanksgiving Day Moist Turkey Dinner Recipe

November 23rd, 2009

Moist Turkey Roasting Instructions:
Requirements:

* One thawed, 12-14 pound turkey
* Melted butter to be used for moistening the bird
* Salt and pepper
* Roasting pan and wire poultry rack
* Meat thermometer
* Pastry brush

1. Start by placing the oven rack in the lowest position.
2. Set out a one quart saucepan on the stove top and fill half full with cold water and one teaspoon each of salt and pepper.
3. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Remove the turkey from its packaging, remove neck and giblets from inside the bird’s cavity, rinse them and place in the sauce pan. Set the sauce pan burner temperature to simmer and cook until done 2 hours or so.
5 Rinse the turkey, both inside and out, using cold water.
6. Place the oven rack in the lowest position.
7. Put the turkey inside the roasting pan, with the breast side up, on a roasting rack
8. Brush the bird’s exterior with the melted butter to help moisten it.
9. Using salt and pepper, sprinkle the turkey’s body and cavity to season it to taste.

Overall tips

* As a rule of thumb, the turkey should be roasted 10 to 12 minutes per pound if un-stuffed. I never put stuffing in the turkey because I use the turkey drippings later in both the stuffing and gravy recipes.
* Uncovered turkeys result in a brown exterior that is more appealing, but cooking it uncovered, tends to result in dried sections on the legs and breast, so I cook the turkey covered with an aluminum foil tent shaped down around the bird for 2/3 of the cooking time and uncovered for the final 1/3.

How To Know Where To Advertise

November 19th, 2009

This post is about understanding the various ways you can spend your money to generate new leads.

Before you spend you hard earned money to get sales leads, learn how each “pay-per” method works….

First, educate yourself on the terms used for getting new customers and save your money until you know how each one works.

Start with the basics. Diligently make a list of all the different terms used such as pay per click, pay per view, pay per lead, pay per action and so on. Perform searches on Google, Bing or Yahoo and read several definitions of each to understand the subtle differences between the meanings returned in these searches. After a thorough review you will find that the only real authority is the individual source you will be buying from, because each vendor offering a program has their own unique twist to the pay-per-whatever that makes or breaks their particular program. The sheer number of twists, turns or options is the reason why there are so many ways you can spend your advertising dollar. Spend it wisely only after you have a complete understanding of how each program works. If you check back through previous posts on this site you will find a list that enumerates the most popular free means of getting visitors to your site. They require a lot of work. But once you have established each of these free tools, you can progress through trying each of the different paid kinds of advertising methods to increase sales for your products.

Remember, in the midst of all the hard work you will continue to get barraged with the “too good to be true” sales pitches that really are “too good to be true”. The only way to a solid success is to build a broad base of leads using all the methods of substance and marketing to these contacts on a regular frequency. Repeated contact with the same basic message builds trust which over time makes it easier for the prospect to become a paying customer.

There is no one source of effective paid advertising for each individual niche. Each advertising method should have a place and a purpose in your marketing plan. Researching competitors materials and gleaning from that research what they use can suggest the right mix for your particular line. Every tool works to some degree and using the ones that bring others business can also bring you the leads essential to your success.

Tools for researching competitor’s sites is a subject for a different post.

Time To Re-Evaluate Your Market Niche

September 30th, 2009

There are off line businesses going into bankruptcy everywhere. In a time of prosperity, people rush to buy the latest electronic gadget or to get the latest bath accessories, one for each change of the season. So, your market niche may have done well when the economy was doing well, but now you’ve noticed a down tick in purchases. What’s going on? Don’t assume that this is a product of the economic recession; instead, be proactive and try to determine what factors are affecting your sales. It could be the economy, but it could also be various other factors: A shifting demographic, poor sales strategies that don’t work in a downturn, or bad or no advertising campaign.

Shifting Demographics

When you set up your business, you probably had a good idea of what demographic you wanted to serve. With the recession, the demographic you serve may have had shifts in their income level or even living situations. Take a look at the boomer generation. They are experiencing an epic shift in their income as they retire, with battered retirement accounts from poor market results. Even though you could rely on this demographic to purchase certain products and services as they continued to dominate the market, this may not be true in the future. So, you need to re-evaluate the demographics that you are serving in your market niche.

Sales Strategies

Running the same promotions with worse results? That’s not really surprising considering that the psychology of the market place has changed dramatically and that the consumer may not be in a buying mood for a while. Before the recession, status was a great psychological trigger to use to create a buying opportunity. The same trigger is somewhat meaningless in a downturn unless you are marketing to the very rich. The biggest strategy for the downturn is going to be value offers; you need to make sure that many of your strategies reflect a trigger for value.

Bad or No Advertising Campaigns

The immediate impulse of business owners in a downturn is to stop throwing money at advertising since there are fewer buyers. This is a mistake and can be a self-fulfilling prophecy for poor sales later on. So, if you haven’t evaluated your advertising campaign, you need to do that now. Look at where you are advertising, what psychological triggers and sales strategies you are using, and whether you can provide value offers that put you ahead of the competition during this tough economy.

Chasing The Long Tail In A Recession

September 30th, 2009

I thought this article contained a good bit of info for my readers. It is one example of the type of PLR info available to my subscribers.

Chris Anderson, author of “The Long Tail,” hypothesizes that even though classic marketing assumes that 80% of sales come from 20% of your customers, chasing “the long tail” of customers not in that 20% can be a viable online strategy. That’s because online businesses are great at providing choice, something that physical brick-and-mortar stores can’t stock or inventory the same way since they are not virtual enterprises. But, is chasing the long tail still a good strategy in a recession where consumer demand is dropping drastically?

Why The Long Tail Creates Demand

Yes, it is a good idea to think about chasing the long tail. The reasons for that are two-fold: Physical retailers are already reducing inventory and dropping choices and online retailers don’t have to stock or inventory a selection or choice in order to offer it. So, the same reason that makes it unthinkable for physical retailers makes it a great choice for online merchants. After all, demand may be slowing for the best sellers, but the long tail is not about best sellers; it’s about personal preference. When a consumer has a personal preference for a particular product or service, they will look to get that choice fulfilled regardless of the cost, even in a down economy. And, even if a retailer offers this choice in their physical stores, an online business is better suited to drop the price on it because they are not keeping their stock in physical inventory. They are doing “just-in-time” demand fulfillment.

Look Up Affiliates, Partners, and Order Fulfillment Services

In order to capitalize on this strategy, there is a bit more upfront market research. You want to locate affiliates, partners, and order fulfillment services that can help you market the long tail without necessarily having to create products yourself or ship them. That way, they can remain in other people’s physical inventory until you get an order and are ready to fulfill that order. If you line up a great team of suppliers who you can use to create a vast choice, then you will create demand where there was none because you are offering something in one place that few others are able to do offline. If you make it easy to search online, then you create the ability for the customer to service his/her own needs and to exactly specify their preferences.

Listening: An Online Business Skill Leading To Niche Selection

September 29th, 2009

It used to be that only certain professions and businesses had to listen intently to the voice of the customer. Retailers in more prosperous times weren’t in the business of satisfying a complete tick list of needs by surveys, dialogues or repetitive contacts. That’s all changed as consumers around the world are struggling with a bad economy, causing them to change their previously trusting “buy and try” mentality to one of cautious frugality. In an evolving environment like this, the only way to customize your marketing and business strategy is to pay close attention to your customer’s needs and strive to meet them.

Product Preference

In a recession all customers face the same issues: Reduced income, increased expenses, and solutions that miss satisfying immediate needs. As we know from business theories, consumer demand is comprised of three components: Income level, price, and personal preference. There is not much a business can do about customers’ falling income levels. There are some things that can be done about price; however, reducing price always creates a profitability risk to the bottom line of the business. The only remaining way to influence consumer demand is by satisfying discreet personal preferences.

Understanding The Nature of Consumer Demand

People having less to spend and become more frugal, doesn’t mean that consumers will naturally gravitate to the cheapest price. In fact, value becomes more important as the recession drags on. A purchase that lasts longer and is of better value is increasingly chosen over a product that crashes, breaks, or looks worn a few months after purchase. Consumers are becoming more sophisticated on buying not only things that satisfy their personal preferences, but are now demanding quality that stands the test of time.
Retailers Phasing Out Choices Creates Niche Opportunities

It makes sense for big box retailers who carry inventory to phase out choices that aren’t in wide demand and to cater to mass tastes. That’s where online businesses have an edge in this type of economy as they can offer that phased out item as a choice without necessarily inventorying it. By researching search volume for certain niche items, or in other words “listening in” to their potential customers who are having difficulty finding particular products, online marketers can grow by making that missing product offering a part of their internet marketing strategy.

If you listen closely and can provide a better value, you customers will be there long after this recession is over.
